A Tropical Glow Baby Production: Finding Comfort in The Crisis, an exploration into the world of an intersectional tropical glow baby and the moments of comfort that I have held on to as I embark on breaking down my own adoption trauma rooted identity crisis. Through joy and vibrance you will be drawn in to read and reflect on the struggles of navigating a society that was not build with the considerations of intersectionality at its core.
Isabel Diana - Artist Bio
Isabel Diana (she/her) is a Canadian-Colombian artist currently located in Portland, Oregon. They received their BFA from Ontario College of Art and Design University in Toronto and are now an MFA Print Media Candidate at Pacific Northwest College of Art at Willamette University. Isabel was adopted from Colombia at three months old and grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, with a Brazilian mother and a French-Canadian father. The perfect balance between north and south American upbringing. Their identity as an adoptee strongly influences their work by exploring identity nuances. As a text and image-based artist, their practice has been focused on the lived experience through imagery, pattern and text. Their work is bright and full of life made through the techniques of printmaking through layering.
