teague napier - Artist Bio

teague is a disabled, queer, witch, alchelist, trans, nonbinary, folk scientist, artist dual ma/mfa critical studies/print media candidate, preparing to graduate at the end of may 2022 they ground themselves in process, wild pigments, and the world of printmaking they are in their happy place in their practice with their hands stained with wild pigments crushing simmering dying making inks paints and various dyestuffs living between the worlds of being nourished by nature while stuck by their own critical analysis in their own head, trying to understand the complexities of how to survive institutional ableism. it’s exhausting . . . dreaming of the sounds of crashing waves
